The Beauty of Books

Chapter 8 Events is composed of eight students in the Event Management postgraduate program at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. In our program, we were called upon to create, produce, and execute a charity fundraising event. When given this task, we decided to choose a cause that lay close to our hearts and with that we decided to support children's literacy. As postgraduate students we see the importance of acquiring strong written and verbal skills and hope all children are given the opportunity to learn and develop their abilities. As big supporters of helping children develop through literacy, The Children’s Book Bank was the perfect choice. Chapter 8 Events believes in giving back to the local community, which is why we also teamed up with the Humber Scholarship Fund.

 

Our team, of 8 bright individuals, each possesses the qualities to execute The Beauty of Books charity event. With a background in arts and culture events, we are able to determine what key elements need to be developed in order to produce a successful night. We believe that our strong work ethic, determination, and imagination will lead us to quality results. Chapter 8 Events has attained experience and skills from the Event Management Program relating to planning and producing a live event. Our members bring experience such as volunteer management, logistics, sponsorship and activation, venue and décor design, and strategic problem solving strategies to this event. We're very excited about how it will all come together!
